Heimtextil 2025: Key trends shaping the future of textiles
A major highlight was the Trend Hall, where design studio, Alcova Milano, created an immersive, textile-based installation exploring this year’s theme: Future Continuous.
This vision was broken down into three key directions – ‘Naturally Uneven’, ‘Radically Restructured’, and ‘Regenerative’ – each revealing how textiles are shaping our collective technological, cultural, and ecological progress.
As ever, seeing everything on offer has been a huge inspiration for us and future collections, so we’ve pulled together some of the biggest trends to emerge from this year’s show…
Soft textures and warm neutrals
Minimalism took on a softer, more organic form this year. Instead of stark, cold spaces, this reimagined aesthetic looks towards plush textures, gentle curves, and warm, earthy neutrals like sand, terracotta, and taupe.
Matte finishes, subtle organic patterns, and tonal layering add depth and tactility, while the balance of structure and softness creates interiors that soothe the soul.
Blending eras
Interiors that evoke nostalgia were also a major theme at Heimtextil, but rather than being confined to a single decade, we saw a fusion of design influences from different eras.
Think 70s earth tones meeting 90s minimalism or mid-century patterns reimagined with modern textures. Retro geometric prints, bold colour palettes, and decorative details are certainly making a comeback – but in a way that feels fresh, not dated.

Raw, exposed textures
Brutalism is back, and Heimtextil made that clear. Raw, exposed textures were everywhere, reflecting a collective shift towards a perfectly imperfect aesthetic.
This look comes to life through rugged stone finishes, concrete effects, and textured glazes, while uneven edges add an organic authenticity that creates a more grounded, relaxed feel.
This aesthetic heavily inspired our Padma Stone collection, featuring glazed porcelain surfaces reflecting the raw beauty of Negresco stone.
